GROUND PENETRATING RADAR

Cable & Pipe Locations has a selection of varying underground locating services available in Grafton and surrounding suburbs, including the use of ground penetrating radar.

When you know exactly what’s lying underneath the surface, you can excavate with confidence. Our ground penetrating radar service allows us to identify any irregularities and utilities underneath the surface and account for their presence before we begin excavation work.

Looking for a free quote? Call us or send us an online enquiry below.

Our choice of ground penetrating radar provides us with a detailed view of what is going on beneath the surface.

Using our MALA ground penetrating radar, utilities are located through a method known as Locate & Mark™. The equipment sends out a downward signal which is reflected off the surface of the utility, back to the antenna and presented on the high-resolution colour display as a hyperbolic arc. The ability to locate utilities this way becomes less effective the deeper a utility is compared to the strength of the radar, thus in order to safely excavate at greater depths, a strong ground penetrating radar is needed. MALA GPR offers just that, a strong ground penetrating radar, which means you almost never have to worry about striking utilities unintentionally.

At Cable & Pipe Locating, we use ground penetrating radar technology to locate underground utilities unable to be located through other methods.

Ground penetrating radar has extra utility in cable and pipe locating over electronic locating, which only locates metallic utilities. Ground penetrating radar locates both metallic and non-metallic utilities, which therefore makes it a versatile alternative to electronic locating. At Cable & Pipe Locating, we utilise powerful ground penetrating radars for any non-metallic utility location and for any metallic utilities that we have had inconclusive data of.

When you need absolute assurance of the accuracy of our underground utility location, or you need non-metallic utility location, call Cable & Pipe Locations for our ground penetrating radar equipment.

Our ground penetrating radar systems allow us a greater degree of flexibility when we search for underground utilities. If you have an enquiry on our GPR service or would like a free quote on our other services, call us now. We service Grafton, Glen Innes, Yamba, Inverell, Armidale, Tamworth and Kempsey. Let’s ensure you have all the information you need before you start your excavation project.
